Paramount records @ 25 cent_1931.jpg
146 viewsI spent hours searching the newspapers yesterday and found two more illustrations referring to Paramount Blues records, a real rarity in ordinary newspapers.

One is a small ad offering Paramount records for 25 cents. This was during the depression. It comes from The Bee newspaper from Danville, VA, dated November 20, 1931

King Oliver_s Original Creole Jazz Band, March 1924.jpg
488 viewsI found this today in the Davenport Democratic and Leader newspaper (Iowa) of March 1924. By then Oliver had recorded in Marsh Recording Laboratories in Chicago for Paramount in December 1923, but these are not listed, opposed to Gennett, Okeh and Columbia.
